| "Father and Daughter" When he realized he was going to be a father He stayed up for two days and with sleep he did not bother This was something new to him in his young life He wondered if that made her mom his wife He taught her everything that he knew Although not right at times, what ever he did she did to She looked up to him as her fearless leader She saw him stand his ground and he was no pleader He showed her how to show she had compassion And wear her blackness as a regal, fearless fashion It did not take long for him to forget the act Do not ponder this notion because it is one of those facts When two dogs get together and make a baby The girl is considered a bitch and never a lady This is the story of my Quincy and Basha If you thought this was about humans, I got ya So do not ponder this any farther Quincy and Basha are the father and daughter Copyright© 2006, by Arene |

| “Never Fill the Void” God prepared me for my mother’s death many years prior Although I am shame to say it now, then I wished He was liar I enjoyed the weekly rituals of the three of us going to the stores Yet- in the dreams the Lord gave to me, my mom was not with us any more My daddy would be driving along and I would be sitting in my place As we talked and laughed, we then noticed where my mom used to sit was an empty space Since the death of my mom, for a while it was just me and my dad Although I was the youngest, I knew my mom’s death left a void and daddy very sad My daddy was a healthy man, retired and had it going on Although my sister protested it, I did not think he should be alone I went off to college and she returned to the house I wonder if this prevented my daddy from having another spouse One lady in particular seemed to bring my daddy some happiness in his life I believe he would still be alive today if she had been allowed to be his wife I know no one else could have the same relationship that he and my mom had built I hate thinking that he refused companionship after she died because of some kind of guilt Well, some times things happen and we can not explain the ins and outs or how My daddy died without marrying again or moving on and we all live our lives now Husband, wives, sisters, brothers and other family when death happens try to stay together and be on one accord Allow that person who survives to move on in their life and just know that no one else can ever fill that void! May as well be honest with the Lord because He knows the secret things you do Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Have you met a person yet who is as nice in the end as they were in the start? Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Search the scriptures and learn of Him and you will find this is nothing new Proverbs 8:17 I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me. God does not change, try loving Him and you will see Jeremiah 29:13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. A love you can trust with commitment and devotion and you will be the cause if you part Matthew 11:29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. "To the Men"
| This one is dedicated to men who love their families Those men who fear the Lord and do get on their knees How can I go any farther without mentioning these men? “Women in the Ministry”
I am a woman in ministry and for me there is no other choice
For, I will not allow the stones to speak for me and use my voice
Is there such a man who can understand my plight?
As He has called me to the ministry and into His light
Is there such a man who can see the vision as what I must do?
And know that it is God who directs my path and it is not to be moved
Is there such a man who can support me and stand by my side?
A man who can hold his head up high as God is our guide
Is there such a man who can hold me at the end of the day?
After I stand before the people and have said what God said to say
I am a woman in ministry and for me there is no other choice
For, I will not allow the stones to speak for me and use my voice
Is there such a man who would want to benefit from such a treasured gem?
He must remain faithful and minister to me so that my light will never dim
Is there such a man who can be obedient to God as not to harm His anointed?
This is a man who understands to everything there is a season and time appointed
Is there such a man who will cover me as I am a woman and have wants and needs?
This is the man who sees he in my eyes be it in a crowded room or only he and me
Is there such a man who can be with me until the end of time until God allows rest?

Be the Godly man you are supposed to be Love and protect, but do not uncover me We start out saying we will keep God first In the future, I should not expect to be hurt I love the Lord and intend to stay on track I expect the man for me to watch my back If I am in error, he should turn me around He should lift me up and not put me down Be the Godly man you are supposed to be Love and protect, but do not uncover me He who finds a wife, finds a good thing Be obedient to the Lord or end up suffering I am the weaker vessel as the Lord said so If not able to honor me, then you should go If you are the kind of man who is a player Consequences of all deeds manifest later Be the Godly man you are supposed to be Love and protect, but do not uncover me God has commanded how to treasure such a jewel Be the Godly man instead of breaking all the rules I am a woman who seeks to please the Lord No sampling, do not touch if you can not afford God is a jealous God as it has already been said Keep immoral actions undone- try thinking ahead Be the Godly man you are supposed to be Love and protect, but do not uncover me Guard what is in your heart as well as your mind As the leader, this will help keep us both in line I will always respect you and love you as no other can If God allows me to be yours and you to be my man I am the weaker vessel and my nature is to nurture Do not violate my body and take away my virtue Be the Godly man you are supposed to be Love and protect, but do not uncover me Please baby, keep me covered Copyright©2007, by Arene |
