comments = Greetings to you,
I am amazed on your quality of work. Of course you've been
complimented on your expressions through poetry many of times. Well here is
another compliment to you; of course many of us have experienced trials in
every step of our walk in life and through those trials Satan made the
problem look so big when it wasn’t big at all. If I just would have
been looking towards the hills from which my strength comes from it would
have been alright all along.
Being born a son of a preacher and a mother of a strong Christian
background, I feel that Satan is after me even more because he do not want
me to follow in there footsteps when it comes to calling on the Lord
when I need him most. Well before I even met you or read your poetry I
already to decided to make a transition in my life. And this transition
comprise of doing things differently than before, I really enjoyed your
piece on “Label” how true the words are in that piece. So I
really want to thank you for posting such a site as this and reaching out to
people like me with your loving words and to reiterate what God has
done for you, me and many others.
Thank you

Having trouble hearing the Holy Spirit?
"Hear and Obey"
Our Holy God is not so pleased When we neglect to get on our knees This message is for you And only for you to receive
Perhaps the Holy Spirit have been grieved Or is it you really do not believe What ever the case may be Please do not be deceived
To Gods word, you better heed For a clear meaning to be perceived So that you will not be lost The Comforter is who it is you need

"Peace Be Still/Clean Heart"
Give me a clean heart Lord so that I may do your will When my life is stormy, you will keep me still
Let me be the one who serves you in spite of what is done to me When evil is perpetrated against me, let it be you that I see
Allow me to hold you dear to me when I feel no love from those here When love is perfected, it is unconditionally, without threats or fear
Please stay with me Lord as you have promised to do Know that although I make mistakes, Lord I still need you
Take me in your arms Lord and comfort me each day When I am lost in earthly burdens, lead me Lord to pray
Give me a clean heart Lord so that I may do your will When my life is stormy, you will keep me still
Grant me permission Lord to escape to a place of peace When I try to do my will, my burdens seem to increase
May I remain your child Lord and never turn away your love If I had waited, there is nothing I would have been deprived of
Treat me to your compassion Lord and I will remain your servant When a cloud comes before me, only to your will I will be observant
Feed me your spirit Lord, so my spirit will glow and I may be as you are Loving, committed, peaceful, and giving -brighter than the morning star
Stay within my heart Lord so that you go with me where I go When others see my spirit it will be you they seek to know
Give me a clean heart Lord so that I may do your will When my life is stormy, you will keep me still
Peace be still

Daniel 3
Earlier today a co-worker started out on a topic of discussing how a mother and father could
seemingly not be there for their child. He thought the parents were being awful parents and I
thought they may have been operating on faith as they had done all they could do and the best
thing was to not be an enabler/co-dependent as well as not compromise on their Christianity.
The conversation some how turned to the faith of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego as they
refused King Nebuchadnezzar after he had demanded that they worship the god he had
fashioned. Although they were threatened with the punishment of a blazing furnace, these three
men continued to refuse to worship the image:
Daniel 3:16-30
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are
not careful to answer thee in this matter.
If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he
will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the
golden image which thou hast set up.
Like Abraham, these men trusted in God enough to allow Him complete control over their life
even unto death-if God chose!
How can this apply to us today? When we are faced with trials and tribulations, do we practice
faith to have trust in God enough to say it is well? Or do we bow down and worship the image
before us, kids, man, woman, material possessions, status, or religion. How far are we willing to
go to trust in a God who is consistent and love?

Don't Quote Me on That!
A man said: "When I first met my wife, I knew she was sent by God because I fought it all the way"!
A child said: "Mommy and Daddy, can we stay in church every day in the week since you are so much nicer to each other when we come here?"
A wife said to another wife: "I am so sorry that my husband treats your husband so bad. I do not see how your husband has continued to work with my husband as he is so dogmatic and demanding. The other wife answered: " because they are just alike".

"Generation Used to Be"
It used to be your friend was really your friend when I was young
Mothers taught their daughters and fathers taught their sons
It used to be o.k. to walk to school and stop to tell a stranger the directions
Now when we vote we are confused and we even question the elections
It used to be that sitting down at dinner as a family was valued time
together
Nowadays days it is a rarity if the original family unit has survived the
stormy weather
It used to be that our elderly were taken care of and treasured by the
family unit
Nowadays it is seen at as a burden and the nursing homes and paid help
are left to do it
It used to be that someone would stay home to raise our treasured future
Nowadays better luck getting with an older mate because young is not
necessarily pure
It used to be that a man took pride in being a man by taking care of his
flesh
Nowadays he will fool around although married but stay because he’ll pay
less
It used to be that teachers were held in high respect and their life was a
good example
Nowadays some are not qualified and when sex is needed they use our
kids as samples
It used to be that people were kind and nice to their neighbors and we all
did get along
Nowadays it is hard even for the choir members in a church to agree to
sing a song
It used to be that when a girl got pregnant while in school, she married or
was sent away
Nowadays she’ll stay put because of all the lawsuits filed up to this day
It used to be that a man was excused for his infidelity as boys will just be
boys
Nowadays some die like flies trying to stay hard and women still resort to
their toys
It used to be that you could retire from a job and be able to live a life of
peace
Nowadays consider it a blessing if you earn a pension before you are
deceased
It used to be a Christian could get a Christian from the church and not
consider what each other was
Nowadays it is a gamble because of the down low factor so some may do
better at the club
One thing remains constant: God is God yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
He is still He.
Yea, I may be considered a “youngin” by some of them, but I am still part of
the “Generation Used to Be”

Have we benefited or hurt future generations by taking prayer and corporal punishment out of schools?

I think of all that i read what stays with me is at the end of your site
stating that the lack of discipline is probably the most relevant part of our
society falling apart. No accountability for our actions and no
punishment for our bad choices. I truly agree with you that those things
that kept us on a straight and narrow path to success are now missing
and so many are choosing the wrong road. Having no firm guidance to
fall back on, no spirituality to rely on, and no corrections along the way to
keep us on track have pushed them into chaos.
..
Thank you for your words of wisdom and hopefully they will spread to
those seeking them.
Include your state in e-mail if you would like it posted with your comments. Thanks for sharing, Arene

I wasn't able to post a comment on your page without getting an error
message. I think it's something on my end...not your website
However, I honestly and very strongly feel that we definitely hurt our
future generations by taking prayer and corporal punishment out of
schools. And I am from SC if you need to post that quote for me, along
with my state
God bless you!

Many Christians find themselves in a situation they did not expect (a
failed relationship or marriage). A young co-worker asked the
questions "Are people who say they are in a happy marriage, really
happy?"
To have the idea that there is total sunshine is not realistic to me,but
to be in a situation where there is no sunshine is unacceptable.
If we truly follow Gods plan-even the basic principle of doing unto to
others as we would have done to us and being kind to each other
more than not will result in a beautiful union.
I believe that some people just can not be happy and they drain
others who are. Women have God given intuition, but sometimes
dispel the Holy Spirit by what they feel they want and think is "love"
as opposed to what God says and men are guided by God but get
misdirected by the craftiness of cunning women with outward
appearances of beauty.
It is so important that we have a personal relationship with God.
See Ephesian 4:32
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
I disobeyed God and married a man in April, 1999 and by October
2000, I was fasting for deliverance. I share with others some of the
personal details to help them see they can overcome all through
Christ. Someone going through her own hell said the other day, "you
seem so strong". If I can help someone else overcome, then what I
went through was not in vain.
My second spouse was so much worst than the first that I actually
wished I had stayed married to the first because it would have
prevented what I got to see the second one do.
Your World, My World, His Word!
Dorthy from O"Fallon , Illinois on July 26, 2008
I think prayer should be used everywhere and corporal punishment
should not be used anywhere. One should have no need to use
corporal punishment on a "normal" child and using it on a child that is
not "normal" will only make the behavior worst. I still cringe when I
think of the corporal I received in school. It was not a pleasant thing.
That's my story and I am sticking to it

“I See Nothing”
I once thought the opposite of love was hate
Until many years of disrespect and much debate,
Resulted in my solid stance since-
Of the opposite of love being indifference
When I see him, I see nothing
There is no hatred: there is no love
Nothing sacred, nothing was
There is no passion: there is no thought
Nothing lasted, nothing sought
There is no wealth: there is no commitment
Nothing felt, nothing affluent
There is no place: there is no help
Nothing faced, nothing felt
There is no sharing: there is no giving
Nothing caring, nothing living
I once thought the opposite of love was hate
Until many years of disrespect and much debate,
Resulted in my solid stance since-
Of the opposite of love being indifference
When I see him, I see nothing
There is no knowledge: there is no power
Nothing alleged, nothing sour
There is no family: there is no future
Nothing free, nothing sure
There is no pretended: there is no hoped
Nothing recommended, nothing scoped
There is no lasting: there is no forever
Nothing passing, nothing together
There is no bye: there is no us
Nothing why, nothing discussed
I once thought the opposite of love was hate
Until many years of disrespect and much debate,
Resulted in my solid stance since-
Of the opposite of love being indifference
Because when I see him, I see absolutely nothing

Corporal punishment should be started when a child learns right
from wrong and if administered propertly spanking should stop at a
very young age.
Some Rules for Spanking:
Use open hand
Do not break skin
Do not discolor skin
Make sure child knows why they are getting a spanking
Alternate with other punishments
Educate children rewards and punishments
Pray to God for guidance.

I also enjoyed the testimonies that you told...
God will take care of the world and our children because the fear of
God is the beginning of wisdom. He will also put us in a position to
always sing praises unto Him. Amen.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!
This is touchy ,but we can discuss our interpretation
without losing it-please.
Should a man and woman stay married no matter what
since they have vowed?

I believe that if the man and woman still love each other
and are willing to forgive, then there may be hope. I also believe that
couples today are so quick to give up on marriage. It takes hard work!

Hi Gloria,
I agree with you- A man and woman should work it out if they love each
other. I know I stayed married at least seven years longer to be sure
that I had exhausted all I knew to save my marriage. This even included
a particular fast. A couple is a couple and it is up to them to make it
work. Thanks so much for your input. I feel you are right on the money!

I saw a really cute commercial:
The camera was zoomed in on a tall robust man cheering with much
enthusiasm as if he was trying out for the lead cheer leader. As the
camera panned out, he was standing next to his young daughter who
probably was trying out for cheer leading or practicing her cheer leading
routine.
Turns out, it was a commercial expressing the importance of time spent
with children.
I thought of the time when I was about seven and my dad stomped the
ground all the way walking me back to the fair because I thought I had
seen a snake. " That snake better not mess with my baby" he said as he
periodically stomped the ground.
One night after a business meeting, I thought I had seen a rat! Actually,
what I had seen was a possum ;non the less, my friend stomped at the
animal to get it to go away. For a moment, it reminded me of my dad
stomping the ground nearly 40 years prior.
I just thought I would take time to mention some wonderful men. I know so
many- even those who are the single father figure raising their children in
their home.
If you have not heard it lately-You are appreciated! Thanks and much love, Arene

"God Does Not Lie" Walk in Love-
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen
When we are called to the ministry, it takes a certain person to be our mates. Improprieties are magnified and rarely forgiven. Sometimes the love of money overrides the labor of ministry. Some prophets in the Bible had difficult times given them by their spouses who were not supportive or did not understand their call. Sarah told Abraham to take the maiden women. How did Sarah feel to think that her husband was willing to offer their only son as a sacrifice because God said so? How did Moses wife feel when he met God on the mountain top and was there for quite a while? What about Jobs wife “curse God and die”? What would it have done to David for a woman to choose death as opposed to obey him or his wish to satisfy his flesh? Although many women are self supportive, they still appear more apt to be supportive of their husbands call to ministry. Many take the Bible out of context when they only report " wives are to be under subjection to their husbands", but here is what the Bible says:
Ephesians 5
1 Follow God's example, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. 3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for the Lord's people. 4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. 5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person-such a person is an idolater--has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. 7 Therefore do not be partners with them. 8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible-and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. 14 This is why it is said: "Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you." 15 Be very careful, then, how you live--not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. 18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. 22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, people have never hated their own bodies, but they feed and care for them, just as Christ does the church 30 for we are members of his body. 31 "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." 32 This is a profound mystery-but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Please note verse # 32: Many times someone who is not Christian will pick up the Bible and attempt to get someone else to believe in something they do not believe. Why open up a math book if you do not have any interest in math? Is it not hard to get someone else interested in a topic in which you have no interest? There is an order in things and when a man and a woman are practicing Christians: the man is expected to be the leader in following Christ! (not the deciever, the cheater, the beater, or the mistreater). See "To the Men" on Poetic Passages Page!
Luke 19:39-40 39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. 40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
